Comments: : Wow.   Awesome stories Dale.   So sad and just drawn into them.   Kinda neat how things could happen.   A classic love story made me a little misty while reading.   Thank you for letting me read them :-) Gaylene

My Reply:  Thank you for the kind words.   These stories were my first 'attempt' at writing and they were just drawn from a spontaneous 'vision' brought on by stress, lack of sleep, work environment and strong emotional feelings I had at the time.   I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Comments: : WOW....   I read your story and was really touched.   I must say the names you used were way to close to home for me...   We all need to be reminded how lucky we are to have people in our lives.   To appreciate them and have no regrets.    I have learned over the years to get better with saying what is on my mind.   Not the easiest thing to do..   I also have lost a loved one!   Although I feel like most of my life was going through the motions just to get through it..   Then one day realized I want to be happy... that is it to laugh again and want somone who wants me as much as I want them..   One day maybe I will be lucky enough to have that again and this time will not let it go!   Like the old saying goes "better to have loved and lost" then to have never loved at all!

Thank you!

My Reply:  Thank you for your kind review.   I am sorry to hear of your loss and I hope that, in some small way, my story has helped.   I had originally written the story "I'm Sorry", which came to me as a flash of overwhelming emotions one day at work and played out in my mind as if I were watching a short story on TV.   A couple of days later the second story, the one you reviewed, came to me as a vision of sorts 'from the other side of the coin'.   I initially didn't have any names in the story and had just left the characters as 'he' and 'she' but later added the names to personalize and 'humanize' the characters and make them more real.

My Reply:  Thank you for the kind review.   Occasionally a mood will strike me and I will have to write down what comes to mind.   Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's a little darker.  Glad you still enjoyed what I had to write.  Maybe one day I will have more to fill the spaces.

Comments: : Hi Dale,   Thank you for sharing the link to this story.    You've a talent for expressing yourself through writing!   It's emotive, passionate, and well-thought out.   I enjoyed the combination of personal narrative and third person story-telling.   It was a great way to draw the reader into the thoughts and feelings of the characters.   I hope you continue to creatively write and express yourself :)

My Reply:  Thank you for your praise.   These stories, as posted here, are pretty much as they came to me and not a conscious attempt at putting anything on paper.    When they hit me I was just compelled to write them down as they just would not go away.   The only story I did have a 'direct hand' in so to speak is "Her Story".   I had, after writing the initial "I'm Sorry" item, a nagging feeling that something was missing with it and heard a little voice calling out from somewhere within to be heard...    It was then that I realized, what was HER reason for leaving at what should have been such a special time in her life.   I sat down at the computer and, after re-reading "I'm Sorry" again, I started to tease the the rest of the story out of my subconscious mind little by little.   That took all day but once it was out, it meshed nicely with the original story to complete the picture of loss and pain.   I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
